Memorial Day Trip

We went to Great Wolf Lodge. It was so much fun. The kids didn't want to leave. Our room was awesome and the lodge is amazing! The waterpark was all we hoped. It was a blast. We even snuck Jaden (1 inch to short) on the Tornado! The scariest and most fun! All in all this is a trip we'll do again.

11 yr old Hike/Camping Trip

Well on the first 11yr old camping trip they hiked up a little over a mile and set up camp. While playing tag with the boys (@ 10PM IN THE DARK!) Chase hit a log with his leg - there was an old rusty stake in the log. It cut Chase's leg open pretty good (about 6in long and about an inch deep) Good ol'Dad came to the rescue and carried Chase (115lbs) down the mountain on his back to the car then met me at the ER for stitches and a tetanus shot. All in all Chase has a cool scar and a new respect for how awesome his dad is to have carried him all the way down. I'd say it was a good experience but the fact that Ryan can still barely move might sway that a little. Can't wait for the next camping trip next month!

Mother Daughter Night

 

 

 

Last night was the Mother Daughter Date at the church. Elle calls it the girly church party. She dressed up and had so much fun. It was fun. My only wish was she sat next to me the whole night like a perfect little girl instead of running around with all of the other 2/3 year old girls. June and Stella (in one of the picts) were her two main partners in crime. They were up on the stage dancing and everything else you could think of. But I still loved every minute of the night with her.

Mother's Day

 

If you look hard enough you'll see why I posted this picture. Sunday morning as we're getting ready for church Jaden is pretending to shave like daddy. But some how he really did turn it on and proceed to shave off most of his eyebrows! I was laughing so hard!!! He looks hideous! He is so funny. Only my little Jaden. To top it off he thought if he put water on them it would help them grow back like seeds so he was rubbing water all over them! Chase made me breakfast and Ian pampered me with the sweetest little poem about me & Elle filled me full of kisses. I had a superb day! Hopefully all you mothers out there were able to have as wonderful of a day as I did. Happy Mother's Day.

CRAZIEST 2 WEEKS EVER!

Okay here is my great timeline for life this last 2 weeks:

4.22- Niki goes in for minor surgery (endometriosis)
4.24 - Great gram has congestive heart failure
4.26- Elle injures arm (thought it was broken can't move it) Ended up being nursemaids elbow and severe sprain above the elbow. She's in a sling for 2 weeks
Today is the first day without a soft bandage on it. :)
4.28- Bud (yes our puppy) jumps out of one of the boys arms falls all of 2 feet. Broke all 4 metacarpals in the front right paw. He's in a soft cast for 3 weeks ( did I mention Cocoa ate his dog food and has been sick for 2 days puking up puppy food all over but keeps stealing it! Working on getting him off puppy food and onto cocoa's (the vet recommended this))
4.30- Call from stake presidency - we both have to meet with this Saturday-- freaking out why? what?
5.3- sitting in stake pres office hearing what they're saying not really believing it. Ryan was called into the bishopric! OUCH! which also means I have to be released :( And Ryan will be very busy.
5.4 - night. Ryan realizes he has to wear suits and a briefcase- a lot of pouting!
5.5 - shopping while Ryan is at work trying to find deals on dress clothes for a very picky man. I did pretty good- maybe I am actually getting to know his likes after 14 years.

Great 2 weeks huh! I'm just feeling like I can breath again a little.
