Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2018
I was just looking back at all of the years pictures on this blog. Time seems to have sped by. It makes me so sad the kids are all growing up and some even leaving the nest already. But I couldn't be prouder of who they are. So grateful for an eternal family and such a good relationship with each of the kids and my hot husband.
Here is the update on the Roskelley's
Ryan and Niki- Still married - I still wake up and can't believe this is my life. So blessed to be married to the hottest man on earth! This year Ryan tried something new and--- put up the Christmas lights!! For those that know Ryan this is a big deal. He is so scared of heights that I've always done the high stuff (painting contractors daughter-ladders are nothing) But I came home to a Friday in November and Ryan was putting them up! AMAZING! I'm still the nurse at the local high school and Ryan is still in IT management with Premera.
Chase- Came home from his mission last September 2017. He came back talking a little funny and throwing out Navajo. But really he came back as a stud that is AVAILABLE ladies!π Did a few quarters at EVCC (where he made the deans list) and then transferred to BYU-I. He has 3 semesters left there and will be done with his degree in Human Biology. His plans are to study for the MCAT and get into a doctorate program for Psychiatry. Pray for him for dating and school! Funny how you go so long not wanting to date serious and stuff and now life is all about that and career choices.
Ian graduated from Getchell High School for the Entrepreneur. He was awarded male athlete of the year for the school. Then he left in September for his mission to Guatemala. Talk about rip that bandaid off. You just put him on a plane to a foreign country and pray. (which I am still doing everyday) He has no hot water and not always even water but he is doing well. Learning spanish and sometimes K'iche. He's only been out of the training center less than a month. He has been writing more descriptive letters and sending picts to us every week. That has been a relief. I love hearing about how his testimony is growing and all the good he is doing. Not happy when he confessed he's already opened up all of his Christmas presents. But I'm not surprised either. π keep updated @ http://elderianroskelley.blogspot.com/?m=1
Jaden is a sophomore in high school. I have to say it is so awesome getting to see him everyday at school. I love when he stops by to say hi etc. And it's a plus I can keep and eye on him and away from all of the ladies. He loves sports and has really risen to the role of big bro since they're all gone at school on missions. He is getting closer to his Eagle scout (hallelujah it's the last oneπ) and Duty to God award. And he as of last week he is driving. My confidence was slightly weakened about his driving skills when he ran a red light on the way to pick up his license.
Elle is in 8th grade and her last year of middle school. It is so weird having kids so grown up. She even babysits now & texting boys! She loves singing (made it into honor choir) and tennis most of all but enjoys soccer and basketball too. She's been working on her Young Women's goals for church in hopes to finish it by next December. After 3 boys (which I have loved every minute of) it is so fun having a girl! She is just girly enough and sportsy enough for me. I was blessed with an amazing girl that loves others and is super funny. She can dish it out to her brothers and father with skills! She makes me laugh everyday. π
That is about it for the Roskelley's. We hope you're holiday and new year is fabulous. And anytime you're in the area stop by and say hi please!
Love, Ryan, Niki, Chase, Ian, Jaden & Elle
