Merry Christmas & Happy New Year

Happy Holidays to all of our family and friends. Instead of sending out the Christmas card I am just posting it here.

We have had quite a crazy year so I'll try to recap without too much for you to read.
January -May was quiet and not too crazy. In May, Elle broke her humorus. Big old cast up to her shoulder. Got it off in June. The same day my father was rushed to the hospital for an inter cranial hemorrhage. Sadly, he passed away 2 days later at the age of 57. I think having to call family outside that night to tell them to come home to say good bye was one of the hardest things I have ever been faced with. Let alone saying goodbye myself. I miss him everyday and feel so blessed to have had such a wonderful father in my life. About 2 weeks after my father's funeral Ryan was called to be a bishop for our church. He is very busy. We left shortly after for our 2 week vacation in California. We did the entire coast, Disneyland for 5 days and then stayed in our condo on Solana Beach for the end. It was nice to get away then we came home and life started back up again at 100mph.

Ryan is still with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. What an amazing job. He loves it and is so thankful for it.He really does good at juggling a very busy schedule and still being there for me and the kids. Yeah, that's why I married him! He's freakin awesome!!!

I am still busy with 4 kids and life. Still teaching Pilates and working from home for Medical Staffing Network. I ripped out all of the carpet in our family room downstairs and tiled it and slated the fireplace. It turned out pretty good for an amateur.

Chase 13 is busy with sports, piano(still considered not fun), scouts and life. Football he is the main kicker and loves it. He also played linebacker. In October he was tackled in football and broke his tibia. We were in surgery until midnight and he is still in a brace now after 2 casts and one boot. Very upset he can't play on his select basketball team and his muscles are getting weak. We're just grateful he's okay and will be good to go in a few more weeks. Doing great in school.

Ian 10 is also in sports, piano (same feelings as Chase) scouts and life. He is also more musical and performed in the children's Christmas choir. He did pull a tendon in his leg this year but was only on crutches for a couple of days and a wrapping for about a week. He is also a very smart kid at school. He's surpassed all of the other kids in the timed math tests. He loves anything that is a competition. Doing great on his select basketball team and did great at flag football.

Jaden 6 only broke his finger this year. Small cast little healing time. He played flag football this year and is in basketball like his brothers. This is his first year on a big boy team. He is loving it! He is our funniest little guy. Always making everyone laugh. He has a very good sense of humor. He is excelling in his reading at school! He loves it and loves his teacher-Which has really helped him be more motivated. (thank you to all of you teachers out there for all you do!)

Elle 4, keeps her mom busy with girl stuff. They're both loving it. She finished 3 quarters of gymnastics and is now in ballet. She loves her leotards and ballet shoes and always has to have her hair done and little tutu's on too. She loves everything girlie. Yet, she still can get down with the boys. She is in preschool with 5 other girls and it is so fun to have such a girl preschool group. Everything is pink, purple and princess. They all love dolls and barbies.

So that is it! Hopefully I got everything. All in all this has been a harder year that others that's for sure. But at the end of the year we can't help but feel blessed. We have our health, home, food to eat, each other and a gospel we love and feel blessed to have. The Lord has carried us through our hard times this year and has blessed our lives tremendously.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Ian is a DECADE old!

Happy Bday Ian. I can't believe he's 10 years old! He is growing up into such a good guy. Totally sensitive of others but never ever stops to take a breath. He's definately impulsive like his mom but so much more tender than you think. I see a lot of my little brother & Ryan in him. Just a tender wonderful guy. Great at basketball! And he is doing so well at school too. He even surpassed the gifted kids in his class on all of the timed math tests. Apparently that is making them all mad. I LOVE IT! That's my Ian. Happy bday bud!
